About Us

Resting on the golden sand of Napili Bay, the Mauian is a relaxed island hideaway. A place to renew, refresh, reconnect.

History

The 44-unit Mauian was built by a Hawaiian family in 1959 and over the decades has continued to retain its “old Hawaii” charm. Now offering stylishly-upgraded hotel rooms and studios, the Mauian combines the best of old and new: contemporary accommodations in a classic island-style setting with plenty of old-fashioned aloha.

Maui Activities

There is so much to do on the island of Maui, and the Mauian offers an ideal home base on Napili Bay for beach activities, winter whale watching, and island excursions. Golf, tennis, stand up paddle boarding, snorkeling, kayaking, and scuba diving are all available within walking distance of the hotel. The Mauian is surrounded by numerous dining options, from casual to world-class cuisine. Shopping areas and the historic town of Lahaina are just a short drive away, inviting you to explore and discover your own favorite places on Maui.

9/8/23 UPDATE FROM THE MAUIAN:
We will welcome guests back to The Mauian beginning October 8th, in keeping with the Hawaii Governor’s directive lifting all travel restrictions for visitors to West Maui effective that date. The Mauian, located several miles north of Lahaina town, was untouched by the tragic fire. We look forward to welcoming you to our little oasis on Napili Bay!

The return of our West Maui visitors will help stabilize our economy, which in turn will provide jobs, services, and support for those who lost so much in this disaster. However, we humbly ask that if you visit West Maui in coming months, please do so with sensitivity and respect for those who have suffered great losses. Your kindness, understanding, and aloha will be appreciated during this time.

We apologize for the phone and internet issues of past weeks. Our web reservations are now working properly. However, we are still experiencing some landline phone outages. If you have trouble reaching us, please contact Wilma Oskins, Hotel Manager, directly via cell phone at (808) 780-0227.
